As a result of a heavy downpour in Saratov, the roads went under water for almost half a meter. Public transport stopped. Some roofs also could not withstand this amount of water.
The very first autumn downpour made Saratov get stuck in ten-point traffic jams. The head of the city, Mikhail Isaev, instructed the public utilities to clear the storm drains and asked the residents of Saratov to report the flooded areas. But the addresses of the flooding are known, they have not changed for years. So, according to tradition, cars sailed under the bridge to the 3rd Dachnaya. As reported by motorists affected by the disaster, the water on the road reached almost 50 centimeters. And on Moskovskaya, 32, the rain reached people before they became pedestrians or drivers. The ceiling collapsed in the apartment during a downpour. Residents say that the roof was leaking for a long time, but now it is practically on their bed.
Again, according to tradition, during the rain in Saratov, public transport stopped. On 6th Dachnaya, trolleybuses could not get through the mud-flooded Panfilov Street. In the Leninsky district, a tram of the 3rd route went off the rails. On Begovaya, “nines” and “tens” got up because of the de-energization. For unknown reasons, the movement of the 11th tram was interrupted. And trolleybuses # 3 and # 16 do not run because of the collapse of the ground at the intersection of Kholzunov and Novouzenskaya.
