In the area of the beach "Burgas" in Sochi, a tornado came ashore from the Black Sea, reported on September 1, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
“The formation of a tornado was recorded in the Black Sea near the Adler region of Sochi. He came ashore near the beach "Burgas", - said in the press service of the department.
It is clarified that as a result of the incident, no one was killed or injured. About 30 sun loungers were damaged.
Now the resort has an emergency warning due to bad weather, which will last until September 3. All utilities and city services have been transferred to an enhanced mode of operation.
Partly cloudy weather, intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected in the Krasnodar Territory. In some areas, heavy rain is predicted, a downpour combined with a thunderstorm, hail, squall wind intensification of 20-22 m / s.
According to forecasts, from September 1 to September 3, abundant precipitation will fall in Adler (51 mm), Dzhugba (29 mm), Krasnaya Polyana (32 mm), Sochi (71 mm), Tuapse (68 mm).
On August 24, it was reported that the Anapa authorities extended the ban on swimming in the sea near the confluence of rivers, previously introduced by Rospotrebnadzor.
On August 20, Rospotrebnadzor banned residents and guests of Anapa from swimming in the area where rivers flow into the Black Sea at a distance of 100 m on both sides due to flooding of recreational areas.
