The remains of a mysterious race with elongated skulls and small stature have been found in an archaeological site in Malta, which is 5,000 years old.
As we delve deeper into the world of archeology, we stumble upon details that gradually complete this intricate puzzle of our ancient history. Scientists continue to make discoveries linking different regions of the globe in time periods that may in the future form a unified picture.

One of the special and confusing cases is the Khal-Saflieni Hypogeum, an underground object dating from about 3300 - 3000 BC. BC. It turned out to be a necropolis after the remains of more than 7,000 bodies were discovered with elongated skulls - bones that are unlike any ancestor on the evolutionary scale.
The discovery took place in 1902 when workers at a construction site accidentally punched a hole in the roof of an underground church. Like many other major discoveries, it came about by chance. Luckily for us, all attempts to hide the underground megalithic structure have been unsuccessful.
The excavation was led by Manuel Magri. He was a pioneer of archeology and a Jesuit priest and member of the Society of Jesus. Under suspicious circumstances, the priest died shortly before the publication of the excavation report, in 1907.
The official report described the megalithic tomb as a massive catacomb on three levels, which required the gouging of more than 2,000 tons of rock. Its walls were decorated with various geometric shapes such as spirals, pentagons, floral themes, or animal designs.
This discovery is supported by an excerpt published by National Geographic magazine in the 1920s, in which the first inhabitants of Malta are described as a race with elongated skulls.
"From the study of skeletons, it follows that the first inhabitants of Malta were a race of long-craned people of short or medium height, akin to the early inhabitants of Egypt, who spread westward along the northern coast of Africa, from where some went to Malta and Sicily, and others to Sardinia and Spain." - National Geographic Magazine, January - June 1920, Volume XXXVII.

Hal Saflieni has numerous chambers, some of which served as tombs and others as sanctuaries.
The first level is 10 meters below the surface and consists of natural caves, which were later artificially expanded.
The second tier contains the main chamber, which passes into other rooms. In the first room, statues such as the mysterious "Sleeping Lady" have been unearthed. This level also houses the unique Oracle room, which opens onto the Decorated Room, characterized by sleek walls and intricate spiral patterns.

In the same room to the right of the entrance wall there is a human hand carved in stone. Further, in the excavation report, there is a two-meter pit, the purpose of which can only be assumed: a snake pit or alms collection. And finally, a special room called the Holy of Holies, containing three vertical stone structures known as trilithons, which were inserted into each other.
No bones or any signs of human remains were found on the third floor, so it is believed that the room was used to store grain, water and various food items.
Among all these cameras, the Oracle camera stands out for its remarkable features: a perfectly acoustically enhanced design, with amazing vocal resonance.

It is believed that this quality helped to spread and enhance ritual chants. The vibration generated inside this chamber created a unique effect of transposition of the emotional spectrum; nowhere on the planet has such a reaction been recorded.
It is also the most visually rich room in the entire lot, with intricate red ocher spirals adorned with circular spots.
After careful analysis, researchers have established that 5,000 years ago, the inhabitants of this place were short people with elongated skulls, anomalies that our human ancestors do not have, at least those that we know about.
This intriguing fact points to a hypothesis related to an extraterrestrial race that once lived in what is now Malta, Paola.

For a short period of time, the skulls were exhibited at the Valletta Archaeological Museum until they mysteriously disappeared without a trace. The only evidence of this thousand-year-old find are several photographs that prove that the strange find from the Maltese Hal Saflieni is not just a local legend or fable.
What happened to the skulls, we can only guess, but rumor has it that the government has taken up the matter due to the extreme importance of the skulls. Apparently, we are not allowed to study our true history due to the conflicting truths that we may find.
