Two active hotbeds of fire with a total area of 112 hectares are being extinguished in the Mordovian nature reserve, according to the unified dispatch service (EDDS) of the Temnikovsky district of the republic.
On Monday, the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the area of active combustion in the reserve in Mordovia was 65 hectares. The fire in the Mordovian reserve has been extinguished since August 3. Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation announced the introduction of an interregional emergency regime with a federal level of response in the forests of Mordovia and the Nizhny Novgorod region.
"As of August 25, the area of active burning in the north-western part of the reserve is 2 hectares, the area covered by fire is 5950 hectares. In the north-eastern part, the area covered by fire is 5300 hectares, the area of active burning is 110 hectares," - said in the message of the EDDS.
The fire from the territory of the reserve from the second hearth spread to the 1st quarter of the territory of Krasnoslobodsky territorial Purdoshansky district forestry (land of the forest fund of the Republic of Mordovia), the area of the fire is 150 hectares. Earlier it was reported that the area of the fire was 100 hectares.
599 people, 131 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire, including 354 people and 53 pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
Airmobile groups of six constituent entities of the Russian Federation are operating on site: Mordovia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, as well as Ivanovo and Saratov regions. The Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations "Leader", consisting of 51 people and 5 pieces of equipment, is also involved.
Representatives of the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Defense and Forestry, as well as volunteers, are involved in the extinguishing together with the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The aviation of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the National Guard and the Ministry of Defense continues to operate.
