"According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours on August 20 in Russia, forest fire forces have liquidated 78 forest fires on an area of 6,931 hectares. At 00:00 Moscow time on August 21, 146 forest fires were active on the territory of the Russian Federation on an area of 1,563,728 hectares. on which work was carried out on active extinguishing, "- said in the message.
Most of the fires are in Yakutia - 41 fires on the lands of the forest fund on an area of 1,409,213 hectares, as well as a fire in the natural park "Lena Pillars" on an area of 20,110 hectares. In the Irkutsk region, 15 fires were recorded on an area of 105,284 hectares, in Chukotka - a fire with an area of 18,680 hectares. Also, forest fires are active in other regions of the Russian Federation.
7 163 people, 1 461 pieces of equipment, 33 aircraft are involved in extinguishing, another 62 are involved in monitoring.
The fire hazardous season is open in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The emergency mode was introduced in six regions of the Russian Federation. A special fire safety regime operates in 60 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
