In several Russian regions, a cold snap is expected in September and temperatures will drop to minus ten degrees. The head of the laboratory of the Hydrometeorological Center Lyudmila Parshina told about this.

According to her, in the country as a whole, the air temperature at the beginning of autumn will correspond to the climatic norm. Nevertheless, the specialist warned residents of the regions of Siberia and the Far East about frosts. In particular, in the eastern part of Taimyr and in Evenkia at night it can get colder up to minus three degrees, and in Chukotka and in the Magadan region - up to minus ten.

Parshina also predicted rainy weather in the Murmansk region, northern Karelia and the Arkhangelsk region. At the same time, there will be no large amount of precipitation at Russian resorts in September, and the air will warm up to an average of 23-28 degrees. In Moscow, in turn, 15-20 degrees Celsius during the day and five to ten at night is expected in September. In the capital, nighttime cold snaps are also possible up to one to six degrees Celsius, Parshina summed up.

Earlier, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that the global temperature last July became the highest on record since 1880. The combined temperature of the land and ocean surface was, on average, about one degree higher than the temperatures recorded in the last century.
