The number of smoky settlements in the Krasnoyarsk Territory due to fires in Yakutia has reached 1257, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
Earlier it was reported that the smoke from the fires in Yakutia reached almost 400 settlements in the region in the Evenki, Taimyr, Turukhansk, Kazachinsky, Kansky, Kezhemsky, Abansky, Boguchansky, Dzerzhinsky, Severo-Yeniseisky, Motyginsky, Ilansky, Nizhneingashsky, Pirovsky districts, Sukhobuzimsky as well as Zelenogorsk, Norilsk and Krasnoyarsk.
"According to space monitoring data and the heads of settlements, smoke was recorded in 1257 settlements of 45 municipalities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory," the message says.
The department noted that a total of 74 requests for smoke were received. According to the Krasnoyarsk Territorial Center for Disaster Medicine, there were no complaints from citizens about health deterioration due to smoke.
According to the Yemelyanovo airport, several flights to various directions, including to Moscow, were postponed due to smoke in the morning.
Since the beginning of the season, more than 1.3 thousand forest fires have been registered in Yakutia, the area covered by fire exceeded 4.2 million hectares. Smoke from the Yakut fires reached the villages of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Norilsk, as well as Arctic research stations.
