The press service of the government of the Magadan region reported that, thanks to the rains that have passed, half of the forest fires have been extinguished in the region.

It is reported that at the moment 11 forest fires have been registered in the region on an area of ​​more than 76 thousand hectares, which is almost two times less than a day ago.

“Avialesoohrana workers in difficult conditions continue to fight forest fires in the Tenkinsky, Yagodninsky and Srednekansky urban districts. Over the past day, three fires have been extinguished on an area of ​​58,313 hectares,”the message says.

39 employees of Avialesokhrana continue to work in the field. It is noted that six forest fires were registered in the remote and inaccessible territory.

Earlier, a special fire regime was introduced throughout 37 Russian regions and partially at 19. The Emergencies Ministry noted that due to hot and windy weather in the Far Eastern, Ural and Volga Federal Districts, the number of wildfires increased.

In addition, according to the forecast of weather forecasters, the heat will still remain in Central Russia, the Volga region, in the North-West, South and North Caucasus.
