A real catastrophe occurred in Germany and a number of other countries, hundreds of people died, huge damage was caused to the infrastructure of cities and the property of citizens, but judging by what they write in the German and European press, the authorities use this tragedy to intimidate the population with "Global warming", while time, as the tragedy could have been avoided, but this was not done. The question arises - deliberately or is it gross negligence?
The authorities left the dams full to the brim for at least 3 weeks during the rainy season, and then did not undertake a controlled discharge of water, even when 150 mm rainfall was predicted 4 days before the flood
Now they want to hide their blatant incompetence and blame climate change or was this done on purpose? The "failure" in the SMS notification also looks very strange, due to which people did not even know that they were receiving deadly streams of water.
The flood disaster in Germany could have been largely preventable, especially in terms of the death toll. According to the latest data in Europe, due to floods, 202 people died, more than 700 were injured, and 1300 are still missing. The flood was the largest in Germany in 60 years. Local media are already calling it “the flood of the century”. In many places, there is still no electricity, no drinking water, no mobile communications, and destroyed roads.
But what conclusions do the authorities and, most importantly, the leading media draw from what happened? Here are the ones - "Environmentalists believe that such showers are the result of climate change from global warming due to greenhouse gas emissions. This means that such devastating floods will occur more often."
People are scared and now they may well agree with the threat of the propagandized "global warming" and it will be easier for the EU authorities to introduce all those insane measures that they plan to introduce - refusal from fossil fuels, from gasoline engines, from the use of oil, coal and gas and all this on the eve of the imminent Ice Age!
Although heavy rains were predicted a few days before the flood, nothing was done to prevent the inevitable destruction. Rather than taking responsibility, politicians blame climate change in an effort to divert attention from their incompetence and gross negligence, and possibly malice.
The dams, built to regulate the flow of mountain streams and rivers, remained overcrowded for several weeks before the disaster struck - despite the rainy season in Europe. There was no controlled discharge to increase the volume of the dam, although all reservoirs were already overflowing!
One freelance journalist, Henning Rosenbusch, tweeted a video in which a German man comments on a reporter for the Welt newspaper:
A resident of the flooded region tells a Welt reporter how every week he rides his mountain bike along the dams holding back waters in the valleys. “I noticed that in the last 3 weeks all the dams were filled to the top - only 20-30 cm from the edge. These dams exist to contain water. Why did they not release some of the water in a controlled manner much earlier?. This should not have happened if there were 10 or 20% more free volume in the dams."
The reporter replied, "This is the criticism I have heard over and over again today."
For three weeks, the dams remained filled to the top, even as long-term forecasts (14 days) indicated more and more rainfall. It was a rainy summer and there was no sign that the situation would change soon
Then, 4 days before the disaster, meteorologists warned that up to 150 mm of precipitation was expected in the near future, but there was no reaction to this information and a controlled discharge of water from the overflowing reservoirs was not made
The filled dams were time bombs that needed to be defused - and there was an opportunity for that. But for some reason, the authorities did nothing to control the release of water behind the dams in order to create capacity and slow down the flow downstream
You need to understand what Europe is planning to do, and why the myth of global warming is so important to it. Much is at stake, including the well-being of its citizens, who opposed these innovations affecting the well-being of every citizen, but now, through disaster and casualties, the position of frightened EU citizens may be very different.
Europe was the first in the world to outline a plan to combat climate change. The European Union was the first in the world to decide to move from promises to deeds and to secure the path to a green future with laws. When cars with gasoline engines are banned, how long can coal be burned and how many forests need to be planted - all this will be included in the EU tablets and will be mandatory for execution.
"The fossil-based economy has exhausted itself. We want to leave the next generation a habitable planet," said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. the first to present a concrete plan to achieve this goal."
To do this, you will have to radically change your lifestyle. And this is what European officials are proposing
The most daring proposal in the package is the de facto ban on the sale of cars with gasoline and diesel engines from 2035. To push the population to buy electric vehicles, the European Commission proposes to oblige all 27 countries of the block to create a network of gas stations similar to today's fossil - no more than 60 km between outlets. This distance can be reached on any battery.
Transport and ground transportation is a key source of emissions and has long been shifted to green tracks. But now the EU has gone further and is going to oblige to do so those who have so far denied, citing the lack of electrical alternatives. First of all, aviation and shipping.
Passenger electric airliners and electric cargo vessels are still hiding in the tablets of daring inventors, and the EU wants to spur commercial developments with taxes and emissions charges. Until now, airlines and sea carriers were exempted from them - only the most inveterate smokers, such as factories and power engineers, paid.
Now everyone else will have to buy emission quotas, including builders, carriers and even owners of heated business centers.
These are additional costs, increased costs and loss of competitiveness, since no new rules and payments due to global warming are expected abroad. In order not to kill its own business, the EU decided to protect it with a special carbon duty on all imports from countries where the standards are lower.
Talks about such a duty have been going on for a long time - to the chagrin of trading partners who supply energy-intensive products to Europe, primarily Russia, Ukraine, India and China.
And the European Commission has dealt a double blow to the airlines. In addition to emission quotas, they will also have to pay a tax on jet fuel.
The projects were discussed with lobbyists, businesses, politicians from all 27 EU countries and environmentalists.
Now they have been brought up for public discussion, and each of the almost half a billion EU residents will be able to express their opinion, but most EU citizens doubt that their main problem is the climate, and not poverty, unemployment, migration, inequality, health care, pensions and so on. The population and business are unhappy with the fact that they will have to pay, but there is no money anyway due to the pandemic and the crisis
"All this will be very difficult," admitted Vice President of the European Commission Franz Timmermans. "It will be wildly difficult. I have no illusions on this score."
Everything will be very simple now
Very simply, Mr. Franz Timmermans …
