The area of fires operating in the regions of the Russian Federation as of Friday morning is 1,008,573 hectares, most of them are in Yakutia, the press service of Avialesokhrana reported.
"According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day on July 15, 2021, 115 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of 13,025 hectares. At 00:00 Moscow time on July 16, 2021, 307 forest fires were active on the territory of the Russian Federation on an area of 1,008,573 hectares. on which work was carried out on active extinguishing, "- said in the message.
In Yakutia, 134 fires were recorded on lands of the forest fund on an area of 858 653 hectares, nine fires on an area of 29 440 hectares in the Olekminsky Nature Reserve and the Lenskie Stolby Natural Park, as well as a fire on other categories of 650 hectares in the Khangalassky District.
Chukotka has 15 fires on an area of 45 195 hectares, in Kamchatka - three fires with an area of 34 891 hectares, in the Irkutsk region - 30 fires on an area of 27 095 hectares, in the Magadan region - nine fires on an area of 3 425 hectares, in the Komi Republic - six fires on forest lands on an area of 3,313 hectares and a fire on an area of 45 hectares in the Pechora-Ilychsky nature reserve, in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - 14 fires on an area of 3,247 hectares. Fires also operate in other regions of the Russian Federation.
The extinguishing involved 5,836 people, 966 pieces of equipment, 41 aircraft, another 75 aircraft are monitoring the situation.
The fire hazardous season is open in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the emergency regime operates in eight constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a special fire safety regime operates in 60 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
