The human brain is capable of time travel. This is the conclusion reached by scientists from France and the Netherlands in a scientific work that they published in the Journal of Neuroscience.

The researchers suggested that the brain has an internal flow of time that cannot be influenced from the outside. To test their theory, a team of scientists studied the brains of people with drug-resistant epilepsy who already required invasive electrode implants.

As a result of the experiment, scientists have found that the human brain measures episodic movements, due to which the passage of time in our consciousness occurs. It was possible to determine this by connecting special electrodes to the human brain. It turned out that at some point in the organ, the so-called temporary cells were activated. These cells responded to an internal sense of the sequence of events.

Hence the conclusion that a person is capable of "time travel", although it is different from what we are used to seeing in films. And, most likely, someone has already managed to carry out such a trip many times.

Earlier, scientists from the University of Sydney and the Japan National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS) have created an artificial analogue of the human thinking brain. Researchers have found that an artificial network of nanowires can, like a biological brain, respond to electrical stimulation.
