Many mysteries are associated with the Bermuda Triangle: mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft and various anomalous phenomena allegedly occur here. Supporters of mysticism put forward dozens of theories - from the assumption of alien abductions to natural and weather phenomena. Skeptics, however, argue that ship disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle are no more frequent than in other parts of the oceans, and they attribute this to natural causes. In particular, the area is difficult to navigate: it contains a large number of shoals, cyclones and storms often arise.

In any case, there is a natural phenomenon, a solution to which numerous scientists of the world are trying to find, but there is still no single hypothesis that would explain the mysterious disappearances. But British scientists are sure that the cause of the Atlantic anomaly should be sought in Siberia, reports the Planet Today portal.

They believe that the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle is associated with craters located in Taimyr and Yamal, which are also full of mysteries and are characterized as the "Siberian anomaly." The British speculate that these craters have frightened the locals for years. There are many versions of their origin, but according to the generally accepted hypothesis, the craters appeared as a result of powerful underground gas explosions. “We believe the same is the case in the Sargasso Sea. There are also gas hydrates there, which can provoke all sorts of anomalies. For example, airplanes can crash, falling into the air saturated with methane, and ships can sink in water with a large amount of dissolved methane,”the researchers hypothesize.

Thus, they confirm the natural origin of the Bermuda Triangle and deny the involvement of supernatural forces in this natural phenomenon.
