How has humanity stood the test of time? Did we manage to go through this life's journey without any help, or were we really led by some alien beings who wanted to help us grow and prosper?
According to numerous legends and beliefs, the "White Gods" once came to Earth and helped humanity to develop and flourish, offering knowledge in many ways.
Mesoamerica is a historical and cultural region stretching approximately from the center of Mexico to Honduras and Nicaragua. The term was coined in 1943 by the German philosopher and anthropologist Paul Kirchhoff. May be identified with the less precise concept of Central America.
Quetzalcoatl is considered one of the first "white gods" to visit our planet. He was one of the most important gods of ancient Mesoamerica and was known as "Kukulkan" for the Maya, "Gukumatz" for the Quiche in Guatemala, and "Eekatl" for the Huastecs of the Gulf of Mexico.
Based on Mesoamerican folklore, Quetzalcoatl is the one who created the world and all of humanity and was considered the god of wind and rain. He is also known for spreading art and culture and was considered the organizer of the society at the time.
Since 1200 A. D. in Central Mexico, he was considered the god of learning, agriculture, science and art. He was also considered the patron god of merchants, as he managed to discover corn with the help of a giant red ant, which led him to a mountain filled with grain and seeds. Legends called this creature, Quetzalcoatl, "The God of Dawn." This is one of the reasons why he is believed to be from a distant planet.

Judging by the paintings and sculptures of the Maya, during this period, many structures arose, similar to spaceships of the 21st century. The drawings and images found on the sculptures were somewhat similar to space suits, and many images representing the gods showed similarities to what astronauts look like today.
It is believed that Quetzalcoatl threw out pillars of flame and disappeared into the sky, flying to the planet that is today called Venus. Could this be interpreted as an extraterrestrial being that completed its mission on Earth and quickly disappeared into the sky to travel to new planets in need of guidance? How else to interpret this?
Quetzalcoatl is described as light-skinned, bearded and tall, with a serpentine head concealing his human form. The earliest surviving depiction of Quetzalcoatl comes from the Olmec civilization with a sculpture at La Venta depicting a beaked serpent with a comb of feathers surrounded by two quetzal birds.

The earliest depictions found in Mexico are in Teotihuacan, where there are feathered serpent sculptures dating from the 3rd century AD, and this is also the site where a six-tier pyramid was built in honor of the Serpent God of Knowledge.
The deity was often depicted in architectural and sculptural decorations, appearing in other places such as Shochivalko, but until the late post-classical period it was rarely depicted in any human form.
From AD 1200, Quetzalcoatl was usually depicted in human form and mostly wore shell ornaments and a conical hat. Images of the god often feature "wind ornaments," which are a cross-section of a whorl of a mollusc, worn as a ribcage, and often wear red goose-like masks with long fangs.
The writer Robert Marks has written extensively about this concept of "white gods" as he concluded that they:
"Depicted in nearly every Native American culture."
After his travels to South America, British writer Harold Wilkins also concluded that the vanished white race had populated all of South America in ancient times, helping indigenous peoples grow food and build pyramids along with other large structures that might otherwise have been impossible. build due to lack of knowledge and tools at the time. He also claimed that Quetzalcoatl was from Atlantis.
Sharing his beliefs, many researchers have argued that the "white gods" were in fact extraterrestrial beings.
Peter Colosimo believed that the myths of Quetzalcoatl were based on the real arrival of aliens on earth, in fact, he argued that the legends actually describe the entire race of white people who were born on spaceships and migrated to Atlantis; after the city was destroyed by water, the remaining white people moved to America, where the "primitive inhabitants of the earth" began to treat them as "white gods."

Another interesting theory is based on the writings of the 16th century Franciscan monk Bernardino de Sahaguan, in which he describes a meeting between the Emperor of Mexico "Montezuma II" and the Spanish captain "Hernan Cortez".
At the first glance at the white Spaniards, the emperor Montezuma thought that the "white gods" had returned from the east, and the god Quetzalcoatl was the captain of Cortes. Because of his beliefs, the emperor presented him with a mask depicting the "Feathered Serpent". The mask was carved from solid cedar wood and covered with turquoise mosaics. The teeth were made from a white clam shell.
The pattern consisted of two green and blue snakes encircling the eyes and entangled above the nose and around the mouth. According to Sahagun's description, it was worn with a crown of dazzlingly long, shimmering green-blue feathers, possibly quetzal feathers, a rainforest bird with iridescent green-blue plumage.
Many ideas about Captain Cortez as a deity can be traced back to the Florentine codex, written about 50 years after the conquest. In the codex account of the first meeting between Montezuma and Cortez, the Aztec ruler is illustrated as giving a prepared speech in the classic oratorical language of Nahuatl, a dialect that, literally reported in the codex written by Sahagun's informants, adds such an ingenuous declaration that divine or near-divine worship …
Due to the imperfect intellectual understanding of the high oratory style of the Nahuatl, it is difficult to approve of the exact intent of these comments, but some argue that Moctezuma, when politely offering his throne to Cortez, may well have meant the exact opposite of what was customary to mean: kindness in Aztec culture was the way assert dominance and show superiority.
This speech, which was often referred to, was a factor in the widespread speculation that Montezuma was referring to Cortes as the returning god Quetzalcoatl.
As time went on, we learned history and were able to see what life was like before. At our current level of understanding, we understand that some things from the past may have been impossible to accomplish without some kind of outside help. The white gods could give us knowledge that the Mesoamericans used to gain power.
But when the aliens left, the indigenous peoples began to lack control over this power, which was given too early, without warning of its side effects. This ultimately led to the self-destruction of the most knowledgeable and prosperous civilizations of our past, because the leadership of the aliens disappeared.
Will they return, as the prophecies predict, and help us build our future again?
