Four eclipses - two solar and two lunar - await the inhabitants of the Earth in the coming year 2021. This was reported in the Moscow Planetarium.

  • 26 of May a total eclipse of the moon is expected, with the shadow eclipse lasting 3 hours 8 minutes, and the total 19 minutes. This astronomical phenomenon will occur in the daytime for most of Russia; in the evening it will be visible only in the Far East.
  • June 10th an annular eclipse of the Sun will take place. It will be seen in Northern Canada, Greenland and Russia. The annular and partial phases can be viewed from the territory of Russia and the CIS countries.
  • 19 november there will be a partial eclipse of the moon, its various phases can be seen by residents of South America, Indonesia, Australia, Asia and the Far East. The complete eclipse can be observed in North America, Chukotka and Kamchatka. The private and shadow phases will be seen by residents of the eastern regions of Russia.
  • 4 december a total eclipse of the Sun is expected, its strip will pass through the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, as well as across Antarctica. Small partial phases of the eclipse can be seen from the territories in southern Africa and Australia, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the Moscow Planetarium.
