Three wildfires operate in the Malaya Sosva and Yuganskiy state reserves in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug on a total area of 559 hectares, which grew by 9 hectares per day. On Thursday morning, the area of fires on the territory of the Malaya Sosva reserve was 550 hectares, no fires were reported in the Yuganskiy reserve. Also in Ugra there were two forest fires with a total area of 11, 5 hectares.

"As of Friday morning, there are three forest fires on the area of 559 hectares on the territory of the Malaya Sosva and Yugansky state natural reserves, two of them have been localized with an area of 550 hectares," it was reported.

According to the department, 13 forest fires with an area of just over 1,248.7 hectares have been registered in these reserves since the beginning of the fire hazardous season.

Also, on Friday morning, six forest fires operate on the territory of the Autonomous Okrug on the territory of the Nefteyugansky, Nyaksimvolsky, Samarovsky, Sovetsky and Surgutsky forestries with an area of 42.5 hectares, of which two forest fires were localized on the territory of the Nefteyugansky and Surgutsky forestries with an area of 25 hectares.

The main causes of fires in the district are lightning discharges and violation by citizens of fire safety rules in green areas.
