The southern regions of Peru have been affected by mudflows, floods and landslides. Houses are damaged. At least two people died, according to Floodlist.
On 9 February, rivers in the Asangaro province of the Puno region overflowed the banks of a river and damaged at least 150 houses and three bridges in Asillo County. Agricultural land was also damaged.
A few days later, in the Sina area of the province of San Antonio de Putin, floods on a river destroyed a small bridge, leaving one person missing.
Floods in Sandia province damaged houses on 14 February. 2 people were killed. More than 120 families were injured, dozens of people were evacuated.
As a result of the mudflow in the Ayacucho region, at least 268 families were evacuated, one person was missing. 33 houses were completely destroyed, 34 structures were seriously damaged.
