A resident of Wales discovered cancer in time thanks to her dogs, who smelled a strange smell from her breasts. Reported by the Daily Star.
In September 2018, Linda Munkley, 65, of Wales, noticed that her German shepherds, Bea and Enya, were behaving strangely. The dogs sniffed at the hostess's breasts and clung to her. “They had never done anything like this before, it was very strange and gave me the idea that something was wrong. They saved my life,”said Mankley.
The Welsh woman went to the hospital and underwent a breast examination. Doctors told Mankley that she had an aggressive form of breast cancer and that the tumor had already spread to her lymph nodes.
The dogs continued to behave strangely until their owner finished her third round of chemotherapy. “When Bea and Enya stopped sniffing at me, I realized that the chemotherapy had gone well and the cancer had been defeated,” said Mankley. The Welsh woman believes that the dogs saved her from death, because it was their strange behavior that made her undergo an examination and recognize cancer in the early stages.
Mankley is now undergoing chemotherapy every three weeks to prevent the disease from returning.
Earlier it was reported about a US resident who discovered a cancerous tumor in time thanks to her dog, who sniffed her belly and put her nose on it. Doctors diagnosed her with stage three ovarian cancer.
