A winter storm hit a number of American USA. Hundreds of flights have been canceled at Denver International Airport. Many highways have been closed in the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho due to snowstorms and icy conditions, reports The Weather Chanel.

More than 170 flights to and from Denver International Airport were canceled on Monday, and more than 450 flights were delayed, according to FlightAware.

Denver police reported 169 accidents between 07:00 and 18:00.

The storm canceled school classes in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the first time in 20 years. There have been more than 160 road accidents across the state.
