Devastating floods hit many parts of Morocco, turning streets and roads into raging rivers.
In Yusufiya, damage was reported as a result of water bursting through neighboring areas. Traffic was completely stopped on most urban roads in the city.
In the FEZ, two hours of continuous rain caused severe flooding, resulting in several traffic accidents. The alleys and streets were flooded.
Significant losses were recorded in the city of El Kelaa de Sragna in central Morocco, where livestock, including about 30 sheep, died. 70 houses were destroyed, but no casualties were reported. As a result, families have been forced to stay outside as they seek safer areas.
