The atmospheric front is leaving, long live the atmospheric front! For the fourth day in a row, a storm is raging in the regions of the Asian part of the country. He has already reached the Far East, but is gradually weakening. Only now, one rainy cyclone is being replaced by another. Does this mean that Siberia and the Urals need to prepare for a repetition of the destructive squall?

Today is the fourth day of the storm beyond the Urals. On the eve of the thunderstorm front swept across Siberia and reached the east of the region. Strong winds rose in Tyva and Yakutia, due to the fall of power transmission towers in some areas, power outages occurred. However, in comparison with what was happening in the Asian part of the country at the beginning of the week, on Wednesday the destruction was already much less extensive - the thunderstorm front, moving eastward along the continent, is gradually losing strength. Its most striking manifestation, perhaps, was the snowfall that covered the north of the Sakha Republic. It turned out to be so intense that a snow cover formed in places. Even for such a cold region as Yakutia, this is outside the climatic norm.

Today, the atmospheric front will continue to disperse the wind in the strip from the coast of the Laptev Sea to the shores of Lake Baikal and the upper reaches of the Yenisei. Maximum gusts - about 20 meters per second - are expected in the central uluses of Yakutia and in Transbaikalia. Another storm zone will form in the Urals and western Siberia. Here, too, the wind can accelerate up to 15-20 meters per second. This is a consequence of the influence of a new cyclone that breaks into the region from the Atlantic.

On Wednesday, the cloud fields of this vortex covered Scandinavia and the northwestern regions of Russia. In some places, up to 40 percent of the monthly rainfall fell per day. The speed of the vortex displacement is quite high - 50-60 kilometers per hour, and tomorrow afternoon its center will already be above the lower reaches of the Ob, so that in this part of the country not only the wind will intensify, but also intense rainfalls will be noted.

Unlike its predecessor, the new cyclone carries warm air masses to Russia. But the thunderstorm front, breaking through to the Pacific Ocean, will continue to lower the temperature in its zone of influence. Tomorrow, the fields of its cloud cover will cover the southeast of Siberia and most of Yakutia, and in the northern and western uluses of the Sakha Republic, precipitation may again pass into a solid phase.

In Yakutsk itself, a cold snap will begin today. Thunderstorms are possible in the city, the wind will increase up to 18 meters per second, and the atmosphere will begin to calm down only tomorrow. At the same time, on Friday, the thermometer readings will drop to plus 11 degrees. But from Saturday, the air will again warm up well.

In Yekaterinburg, thunderstorms and gusty winds - up to 16 meters per second - are also expected today. The storm will bring warming to the Urals, and up to Saturday daytime temperatures are expected to be 21-24 degrees above zero. From Sunday onwards, colder air masses will begin to break through to this part of the country, and the thermometers will no longer rise above 14-16 degrees above zero.
