In the Kama region, an unfavorable hydrological situation persists. 5 municipal districts and urban districts are under the control of the regional authorities.

Flooding of residential areas in the Solikamsk municipal district and adjacent territories in the Gainsky municipal district, the Perm municipal district, the Solikamsk municipal district, the Cherdyn municipal district, and the Chaikovsky municipal district was recorded.

According to the data of the Kama Basin Water Administration of the Federal Agency for Water Resources, in this period, there is a gradual filling of reservoirs to the level of long-term values. Now the water level in the reservoirs is below the normal backwater level.

It should be noted that the additional inflow of water is due not only to discharges from hydroelectric power plants, but also to precipitation, air temperature and the persistence of active snow melting in the northern and mountain-eastern parts of the region. In the current season, forecasts for the passage of floods were unfavorable for many factors. Unfortunately, they came true.

Round-the-clock monitoring of water levels is organized in the flooded areas. Citizens are provided with psychological and other assistance. A hotline has been organized on the basis of administrations.

The residents of the settlements were informed about the locations of temporary accommodation points, and assistance in evacuation was offered.

A daily bypass of the flooded areas and the supply of drinking bottled water have been organized, the population is offered assistance in social issues, in the delivery of food and building materials.

Police officers organized the protection of public order and traffic regulation in the flooded areas.

Since May 14, 2020, a stable decline in water levels has been outlined in the Gainsky Municipal District, accompanied by the release of residential buildings and household plots from water.

On May 17, the emergency regime was lifted in the Gainsky municipal district. The damage assessment commission begins to work.

Despite the stabilization of water levels on the rivers of the Gainsky municipal district, an unfavorable hydrological situation in the settlements of the Cherdyn, Krasnovishersky and Solikamsky urban districts will remain in the near future.

For the population of these municipalities, notification is organized by way of door-to-door rounds and sending SMS messages through mobile operators.

In order to stabilize the situation and prevent the deterioration of the situation in the Perm municipal district, the Main Directorate organized interaction with the Kama Basin Water Directorate of the Federal Agency for Water Resources to regulate the discharge characteristics of the Kamskaya HPP.

In the coming days, stabilization of the flood situation is predicted in the Perm Territory.

The airmobile group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Perm Territory (30 people, 6 units of equipment), the mobile control center of the Governor of the Perm Territory, rescuers of the Perm Regional Rescue Service are in readiness for deployment, in case of need to transport seriously ill citizens, an air ambulance helicopter is ready for use.

The situation is under control, the forces and means are enough.
